East Zone captain Ishan Kishan and wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra resumed proceedings for their side on Day 2 of the Duleep Trophy final against South Zone at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, looking to extend East Zone's commanding position after a dominant opening day. Off-spinner Tripurana Vijay picked up the other wicket to fall but was expensive, conceding 114 runs, while experienced pacer Mohammed Siraj went wicketless in a lengthy 14-over spell that leaked 96 runs.
