Arjun Tendulkar, the Mumbai Indians all-rounder and son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, delivered a standout performance in the second round of the Dr (Capt.) K. Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament, an invitational pre-season event organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA). Representing Goa against a formidable Maharashtra side, the left-arm pacer claimed a five-wicket haul, dismantling the opposition's batting lineup and helping restrict them to a modest total of 136 runs.

Arjun's impact was immediate, dismissing opener Anirudha Sabale on the first ball of the innings. He followed up by trapping Mahesh Mhaske LBW and later bowling Digvijay Patil, leaving Maharashtra reeling at 15-4. After a brief resistance from Mehul Patel, who scored 54, Arjun returned to remove him in the 39th over as the ninth wicket. He sealed his maiden five-wicket haul by having No. 11 Nadeem Shaikh caught, bundling out Maharashtra efficiently.

With the bat, Goa posted a commanding 333 in their first innings. Batting at No. 9, Arjun contributed a valuable 36 runs off 44 balls, showcasing his all-round abilities. Key contributions came from Abhinav Tejrana with 77, Darshan Misal's 61, and Mohit Redkar's 58, building a substantial lead for Goa in the match.

Arjun, 25, has been building his domestic career since debuting for Maharashtra in two Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournaments before switching to Goa in 2022.
