The Rajasthan Royals have announced that their IPL 2026 home fixture against the Gujarat Titans on May 9 at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium will be celebrated as the franchise’s annual “Pink Promise Match,” an initiative aimed at promoting women-led social transformation through cricket.
Now in its third year, the initiative is led by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RRF) and has become one of the franchise’s flagship social impact programmes. As part of the campaign, Rajasthan Royals players will wear their signature all-pink jersey, symbolising the team’s continued focus on empowering women and supporting grassroots development initiatives.
This season’s jersey carries added significance, having been designed through the Royals HunaRR Manch Season 2 competition, which received more than 8,500 entries from over 700 designers across India. The winning design was created by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada from Nashik. The jersey features ripple-inspired patterns symbolising the spread of positive social change, along with solar-themed elements representing access to sustainable energy.

The franchise said the jersey also includes the names of women supported through Royal Rajasthan Foundation programmes, reinforcing the campaign’s theme, “Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai.” Rajasthan Royals officials described the initiative as an effort to use cricket’s popularity to create measurable impact beyond the sport itself.
As part of this year’s programme, the Royals will continue supporting solar electrification efforts in underserved communities. The franchise announced that for every six hit during the match against Gujarat Titans, six homes will be provided with solar power connections. According to the team, the initiative helped electrify 260 homes in 2024 and more than 520 homes in 2025.
The Royals stated that women trained through RRF programmes in the Sambhar region are playing a key role in installing and maintaining the solar infrastructure. The franchise said the “Pink Promise Match” reflects its broader commitment to community development and demonstrates how cricket can be used as a platform for long-term social change.
