Choreographer and social media personality Dhanashree Verma has restored several pictures with her estranged husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, on Instagram, amid their ongoing divorce proceedings and just a day after Chahal was spotted at the ICC Champions Trophy final in Dubai with RJ Mahvash.
Dhanashree had previously archived all her posts featuring Chahal, including their wedding photos from 2020, sparking speculation about their split. However, on Monday, fans noticed that images from their dates, vacations, brand collaborations, and special occasions had reappeared on her profile.
The unexpected move fuelled speculation among fans, with some wondering if it signalled a reconciliation. "Why unarchive all the pics again?" asked one user, while another pointed out how much attention was being given to a woman simply restoring old posts.
Chahal and Dhanashree tied the knot in 2020, but reports surfaced in 2024 suggesting their separation. Though the couple remained silent on the matter, Chahal’s lawyer, Nitin K Gupta, later confirmed that they had reached a mutual divorce settlement. "A Petition for Divorce by Mutual Consent was presented before the Hon’ble Family Court, Bandra. The matter is currently sub-judice," Gupta had told Hindustan Times last month.
During and after the split, Dhanashree faced significant online trolling, with many blaming her for the breakup. On Sunday, Chahal’s appearance with RJ Mahvash at the final in Dubai further fuelled speculation, as the duo celebrated India's victory together. Hours later, Dhanashree shared a cryptic Instagram story about how "only women" are blamed in such situations, adding another layer of intrigue to the unfolding drama.
On Sunday, Mahvash had added to the buzz by posting pictures and videos from the match with Chahal, who did not play in the match, making an appearance in most—albeit without his face showing.
Speculation about Chahal’s personal life has been ongoing since he and Dhanashree unfollowed each other on Instagram. While their split was initially rumoured, it was later confirmed that they officially divorced in February 2025.
This isn’t the first time Mahvash has addressed the dating chatter. Back in January, after similar rumours made headlines, she dismissed them as “baseless” and hit back at assumptions. “If you’re seen with a person of the opposite gender, does that mean you’re dating them? I’m sorry, what year is this?” she had posted.
For now, neither Chahal nor Mahvash has confirmed or denied the romance.
