Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) all-rounder Krunal Pandya has once again expressed his desire to return to the Indian national team. He said that playing for India remains his ultimate goal despite being away from the setup since 2021. The cricketer is currently focusing on delivering strong performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His last international appearance came during India’s tour of Sri Lanka in July 2021.
Krunal Pandya has represented India in 5 ODIs and 19 T20Is so far. Across 24 international matches, he has scored a total of 254 runs and taken 17 wickets. He has played a useful role as a lower-order batter and left-arm spinner. Reflecting on his past performances, he said, “I did a decent job at that time.” He remains confident about what he achieved during his stint with the national side.
Since his exclusion from Team India, Krunal has continued to focus on franchise cricket. He has been an important all-rounder for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. His ability to contribute with both bat and ball has added depth to the team. Recent performances have once again brought attention to his form. RCB has depended on his experience in crucial moments.

The all-rounder stated that selection is not in his control and that he is focused on performance. He emphasised consistency, fitness, and discipline as his main priorities. Krunal said that if he continues to perform well, opportunities will follow naturally. He added that his job is to keep contributing to his team’s success. His mindset remains centred on doing well in every match he plays.
Krunal also expressed his strong desire to wear the India jersey again in the future. He said he is working hard to improve his game and stay ready for opportunities. For now, his focus remains on helping RCB perform strongly in IPL 2026. He hopes that consistent performances will bring him back into national contention. The all-rounder remains optimistic about a possible comeback.
