India A were bowled out for 275 in 47.3 overs against Australia A in the third and final unofficial One-Day International on Sunday. Despite a promising start from the opening pair, India A lost momentum in the middle overs before Suryansh Shedge and Vipraj Nigam helped the side recover. Australia A's bowlers capitalised on the collapse to restrict the hosts to a competitive total, setting up an important chase in the series finale.
Openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh provided India A with a solid foundation at the top of the order. Arya scored 49, narrowly missing out on a half-century, while Prabhsimran contributed 39. Their partnership gave India A early momentum, but neither batter could convert the start into a bigger innings. The missed opportunities proved significant as the middle order struggled to maintain the scoring rate and build on the platform established by the openers.
India A subsequently suffered a major batting collapse, losing five wickets for just 35 runs. Experienced campaigners Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajat Patidar and Devdutt Padikkal failed to make substantial contributions. Gaikwad showed promise after getting off to a start but could not capitalise, while Patidar and Padikkal also fell short of expectations. The rapid loss of wickets left India A in need of a recovery effort to reach a respectable total.

Suryansh Shedge emerged as the standout performer with the bat, scoring an impressive 66 to steady the innings. The Punjab Kings player displayed composure under pressure and helped India A rebuild after the middle-order setbacks. Vipraj Nigam provided valuable support with 40 runs, and the pair's contributions enabled India A to push towards the 275-run mark. Their partnership proved crucial in preventing the innings from ending at a considerably lower total.
For Australia A, Liam Scott made an early impact by claiming two wickets, putting pressure on the Indian batting line-up during the opening stages. Ben Dwarshuis and Will Sutherland then played key roles in dismantling the middle order, finishing with three wickets apiece. Their disciplined bowling ensured that India A could not sustain its initial momentum. With the innings ending at 275, Australia A entered the chase with a clear target, while India A needed an effective bowling performance to defend the total in the series-deciding encounter.
