The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed strong displeasure with the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the omission of Pakistan's T20I captain Salman Ali Agha from a promotional poster announcing ticket sales for the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup. Released on December 11, 2025, the poster featured only five captains: Suryakumar Yadav (India), Aiden Markram (South Africa), Mitchell Marsh (Australia), Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka), and Harry Brook (England).
A PCB source confirmed the board has formally raised the issue with the ICC, drawing parallels to a similar incident during the 2025 Asia Cup where broadcasters initially excluded Pakistan's captain from campaigns until the matter was resolved after PCB intervention with the Asian Cricket Council. The source emphasised Pakistan's storied T20 legacy—as 2009 champions and frequent crowd-pullers—despite not ranking in the top five currently.
The PCB remains optimistic that the ICC will rectify the oversight by including Agha in future promotional materials. Salman Ali Agha, who assumed T20I captaincy in late 2024, has led Pakistan to notable successes, including a tri-series title.
