India have named left-arm spin bowling all-rounder Harsh Dubey as Washington Sundar’s replacement for the third and final ODI against England after Sundar was ruled out of the series decider due to a hamstring injury. The match is scheduled to be played at Lord’s on Sunday, with the three-game series level heading into the final contest.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Saturday that Sundar suffered a right hamstring injury during the second ODI at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, where England secured a victory. The all-rounder has been ruled out of the remainder of the series and will undergo scans and consult a specialist to determine the further course of treatment.
Harsh Dubey, a left-arm spin bowling all-rounder, has been added to India’s squad as a replacement. The youngster made his ODI debut against Afghanistan in Dharamshala in June, where he impressed with figures of 3-47. His inclusion adds another spin option to India’s squad alongside all-rounder Axar Patel and wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

After the conclusion of the England ODI series, Dubey will travel to Zimbabwe for India’s upcoming three-match series beginning on July 23 in Harare. The remaining matches of the series are scheduled for July 25 and 26 at the Harare Sports Club.
