Indian batting stalwarts Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma continue to dominate the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings, holding the No. 1 and No. 2 spots with 784 and 756 rating points, respectively, according to the latest update released on Wednesday. Virat Kohli remains a formidable presence at No. 4 with 736 points, trailing Pakistan’s Babar Azam, who sits at No. 3 with 739 points. The Indian trio, who last played ODIs during India’s triumphant ICC Champions Trophy campaign in February 2025, maintain their elite status despite not featuring in recent matches.
On the bowling front, India’s Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja hold steady at No. 3 and No. 9, respectively, with 650 and 616 rating points, reinforcing India’s strong presence in the ODI bowling rankings. While Rohit and Kohli have retired from T20Is and Test cricket, their commitment to the 50-over format continues to anchor India’s ODI dominance.
Meanwhile, Australian players made significant strides in the rankings following a commanding performance against South Africa in a recent ODI series finale in Mackay, where they posted an imposing 431/2. Travis Head’s explosive 142 earned him a one-place rise to equal 11th, while Mitch Marsh’s century propelled him four spots to 44th. Cameron Green, with an unbeaten 118, soared 40 places to 78th. Wicketkeeper Josh Inglis also climbed 23 spots to 64th after scoring 87 in the second match.
