Senior Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam leader and former long-serving AIADMK minister KA Sengottaiyan electrified a massive gathering in Nambiyur, Erode district, on Sunday night by declaring that the people of Tamil Nadu have found their long-awaited new face for impeccable governance in TVK president and megastar Vijay. He asserted with absolute certainty that Vijay is destined to occupy the chief minister’s chair after the 2026 assembly elections, describing the actor-turned-politician as the only leader capable of ending decades of entrenched political practices.
Sengottaiyan revealed that the groundswell of support for Vijay has reached extraordinary levels, claiming that even schoolchildren across the state spontaneously declare they will vote for the TVK leader when asked about their preference. He forecasted that the party’s mega public meeting scheduled for December 16 in Erode will draw such colossal crowds from across the Kongu belt that the entire region will be left speechless, marking the formal coronation of Vijay as the new people’s force in Tamil politics.
Portraying Vijay’s entry into politics as the dawn of a revolutionary alternate era, the veteran leader promised that TVK rule will be nothing short of “holy rule” — transparent, corruption-free and wholly dedicated to public welfare. He issued a direct appeal to voters to remain unmoved by rival parties, advising them to courteously greet every campaigner who knocks on their doors but to reserve their sacred vote exclusively for Vijay and his party.

In a sharp message aimed at his former AIADMK colleagues who expelled him earlier this year, Sengottaiyan declared that all attempts to politically bury him have spectacularly backfired. Likening TVK to an unsinkable ship now cutting through Tamil Nadu’s political waters, he warned detractors that anyone trying to drag him down will themselves sink, while confidently predicting that TVK’s soon-to-be-allotted election symbol will send shockwaves across the nation.
The high-voltage rally saw the presence of former Lok Sabha member V Sathyabama and a host of second-rung TVK leaders as the party accelerates its aggressive expansion drive across every district ahead of the crucial 2026 battle, with Vijay positioned as the sole challenger to the entrenched Dravidian majors.
