Rajasthan’s Leader of the Opposition, Tikaram Jully, chaired a crucial Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting at the Constitution Club in Jaipur to strategize for the ongoing Monsoon session of the Rajasthan Assembly. The session, which began on September 1, has already seen heated clashes between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and opposition Congress members, particularly over allegations of “vote theft” that sparked a stormy start. With the Assembly adjourned on Monday after obituary remarks and Tuesday being a government holiday, the Congress is gearing up for a robust showdown when the House reconvenes on Wednesday at 11 AM.

During the CLP meeting, Congress legislators meticulously reviewed their approach to hold the BJP-led state government accountable on pressing public concerns. Jully emphasized the opposition’s responsibility, stating, “We will ensure the government addresses issues of public interest. Our role is to raise these matters and demand answers on behalf of Rajasthan’s people.” The party identified key focus areas, including rising unemployment, delays in development projects, and the implementation of social welfare schemes, aiming to press the government for transparency and action.
