Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a scathing attack on the NDA government during her debut election rally in Begusarai on Saturday, declaring there is no true "double-engine" governance in Bihar as all decisions are remotely controlled from Delhi, sidelining state leadership and public voices alike. She accused the BJP-led alliance of divisive tactics and "fake nationalism" to mask failures on unemployment and mass migration plaguing the state.

Vadra highlighted the erosion of democratic rights, asserting that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has illegally deleted 65 lakh voters' names, weakening the constitutional right to vote. "They divide people, start wars, and now steal votes to dodge real issues," she charged, emphasizing that neither Bihar's concerns are addressed nor Chief Minister Nitish Kumar afforded due respect under central dominance.

Criticizing NDA leaders for dwelling on past Congress figures like Nehru and Indira instead of present crises, Vadra reminded the crowd of Congress's foundational contributions: establishing factories, IITs, and IIMs that propelled India's growth. She questioned why Bihar, a key contributor to national progress, remains underdeveloped despite its potential, urging voters not to fall for empty promises.

The Congress leader exposed rampant privatization under NDA rule, alleging Prime Minister Modi has handed over major public sector undertakings to corporate allies, exacerbating joblessness and migration. "Bihar deserves development, not diversion—don't be fooled by their rhetoric," she implored, positioning Congress as the true champion of inclusive growth.

As Bihar's polls heat up, Priyanka's fiery debut has galvanized supporters, framing the contest as a battle against central overreach and for restoring Bihar's rightful voice in nation-building.
