Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader N Chandrababu Naidu held a crucial 45-minute meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday, diving into pressing state and political matters.
As a pivotal NDA ally, Naidu pushed for key projects like the Polavaram-Banakacherla initiative, aimed at channeling surplus Godavari waters to drought-stricken Rayalaseema, sources revealed. Earlier, Naidu also met NITI Aayog member V K Saraswat to bolster support for state development.
On his two-day Delhi visit, the chief minister is set to meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, along with ministers Mansukh L Mandaviya and C R Patil, on Wednesday to further advocate for Andhra Pradesh’s growth and secure central backing for critical initiatives.
