Union Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Saturday accused Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin of peddling “false information” on Lok Sabha seat delimitation, alleging the DMK leader was masking his governance failures ahead of Tamil Nadu’s Assembly elections. Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Reddy claimed Stalin’s rhetoric was a deliberate attempt to “provoke” people, urging him to seek votes based on performance instead.
“Delimitation discussions will only follow the national census,” Reddy clarified, dismissing Stalin’s narrative as premature and misleading. His remarks come amid heightened political sparring, with Stalin recently rejecting the Union government’s delimitation plans at an all-party meeting in Tamil Nadu, a stance Reddy labeled as propaganda.
Earlier, while inspecting redevelopment work at Begumpet Railway Station, Reddy announced that 90% of the Rs 38 crore project—aimed at elevating the station to airport-like standards—is complete, with an inauguration imminent. The upgraded Amrit Station will be uniquely managed by an all-women staff, a South Central Railway (SCR) release noted.
Reddy also revealed plans for a ‘KAVACH’ Research Institute in Secunderabad to bolster train safety through automatic protection systems. SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain joined Reddy at the event. The minister’s rebuttal to Stalin, paired with infrastructure updates, underscores BJP’s push to counter opposition narratives.
