Barely hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi stood outside Parliament and lectured the opposition to abandon “drama” and focus on “delivery,” Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched a devastating counter-offensive on Monday, declaring Modi himself to be the “biggest dramabaaz in the country” and accusing his government of systematically strangling parliamentary democracy for the past eleven years.
In a scorching post on X that instantly went viral, Kharge exposed how the Modi regime has turned the sacred halls of Parliament into a mockery: twelve crucial bills, including landmark GST amendments and the three new criminal codes (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam), were bulldozed in the last Monsoon Session alone, some passed in under fifteen minutes with microphones muted and opposition members suspended en masse.
Kharge ridiculed Modi’s plea for “no theatrics,” pointing out that the Prime Minister began the Winter Session with yet another round of his trademark “dramabazi delivery” instead of answering why Manipur continues to burn, why Booth Level Officers are dying under mysterious pressure during electoral roll revision, and why serious allegations of EVM tampering and stock-market manipulation by Adani cronies are being buried under mountains of distractions.

The Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha warned that the people of India are suffocating under record unemployment, back-breaking inflation, widening economic inequality, and the open looting of national wealth by a handful of favoured billionaires, while the ruling party perfects the art of arrogant spectacle and diversion instead of governance.
Daring the BJP to finally allow debate instead of daily disruptions, Kharge vowed that the united opposition will relentlessly raise every suppressed issue inside and outside Parliament until the government is forced to answer the people rather than hide behind slogans, suspensions, and staged photo-ops.
