The National Testing Agency has released the JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 final answer key for Paper 1 (BE/BTech), dropping a total of nine questions after reviewing candidate objections. Aspirants can now use the confirmed responses to estimate their probable scores ahead of the result announcement scheduled for today.
According to the official notification, candidates who appeared for Session 1 can download the final answer key PDF from the official website and verify the question IDs and correct answers for their respective shifts and subjects. The final key will be used to prepare the JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 results.
The examination covered subject-wise questions in mathematics, physics, and chemistry and was conducted between January 21 and January 28, 2026. The objection window for the provisional answer key had closed on February 6, following which the agency reviewed the challenges before issuing the final version.

JEE Main Session 1 was held in computer-based mode from January 21 to January 29 in two shifts—9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates and experts described the overall difficulty level as moderate, although it varied across different shifts and subjects.
The JEE Main 2026 scores will be used for admission to undergraduate programmes such as BE/BTech, BArch, and BPlanning at participating institutions across India. The agency has reiterated that no re-evaluation or re-checking requests will be entertained, and strict action, including cancellation of candidature, will be taken against candidates found using unfair means.
