Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a high-level review of police department projects at his official residence on Monday, urging officials to accelerate implementation and ensure quality.
The meeting, concluded late this evening, focused on both ongoing and proposed initiatives, with Adityanath directing the Home Department to monitor progress rigorously and hold field officers accountable, per an official statement.
Adityanath emphasized expediting construction by securing land for key projects, including police commissionerate buildings in seven districts—Varanasi, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Agra, Kanpur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, and Prayagraj.
He also greenlit residential and non-residential police line buildings in eight districts—Hapur, Chandauli, Auraiya, Sambhal, Amroha, Shamli, Amethi, and Kasganj—stressing timely execution. The CM reviewed ongoing construction for Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) women’s battalions in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Badaun, and instructed officials to scout suitable sites in Jalaun, Balrampur, and Mirzapur for three additional units.
The directives align with Adityanath’s push to bolster law enforcement infrastructure amid UP’s rising urban demands and security needs.
