A devastating accident on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura claimed six lives and left two people seriously injured when an Agra-bound mini-van crashed into a truck at milestone 140 around 3 AM on Saturday. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar stated that the collision likely occurred because the van driver fell asleep at the wheel.
The six victims died at the scene, and the two injured were rushed to a hospital for treatment. The families of the deceased have been notified, and police are continuing their investigation.
In a separate incident on the same expressway, a private bus traveling from Delhi to Madhya Pradesh overturned near milestone 131 at around 4 AM. Eight passengers were admitted to Mathura’s District Hospital, and nine others were treated at SN Medical College in Agra.
