Five Indian students have skyrocketed to the top 50 finalists of the prestigious Chegg.org Global Student Prize 2025, a $100,000 award celebrating extraordinary young minds making waves in education and society. Selected from nearly 11,000 nominations across 148 countries, these trailblazers are tackling global challenges with bold innovation and fearless passion.
The Global Student Prize, open to students aged 16 and above enrolled in academic or training programs, including part-time and online learners, honors those driving real change.
The Indian finalists—Adarsh Kumar and Mannat Samra from Jayshree Periwal International School in Jaipur, Dhiraj Gatmane from Secondary and Higher Secondary Kasampura in Maharashtra, Jahaan Arora from The International School Bangalore, and Shivansh Gupta from Heritage International Xperiential School in Delhi NCR—are shining examples.
Adarsh Kumar, a coding prodigy, transformed lives through his Mission Badlao, aiding 1,300 families with welfare access, and his Skillzo platform, empowering youth with entrepreneurial skills.
Mannat Samra, a 17-year-old dynamo, is revolutionizing criminal justice, refugee education, and environmental innovation, while co-developing SecureSense, an AI tool for border security.
Dhiraj Gatmane, hailing from Dadra and Nagar Haveli’s tribal regions, founded Second Sunrise to boost digital literacy among seniors and plans to scale his Tech Pods globally if he wins.
Jahaan Arora’s fundraising for HIV-positive individuals and his $ocialCred$ platform encourage youth community service.
Shivansh Gupta stands out for his work in gender equality and inclusion.
