Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu presented the action plan for the Swarna Andhra-2047 vision in the state Assembly on Monday, calling on all MLAs to drive its execution at the constituency level. Addressing the House, Naidu outlined a multi-tiered strategy encompassing state, sectoral, district, constituency, and mandal-level plans, urging lawmakers to become key stakeholders in realizing a “wealthy, healthy, and happy” Andhra Pradesh by 2047.
Naidu detailed ambitious targets: boosting the population from 5.3 crore to 5.8 crore, achieving 100% literacy (up from 72%), and elevating female workforce participation to over 80% from 46%. The vision aims for a USD 2.4 trillion GSDP, a USD 42,000 per capita income with 15% annual growth, and poverty eradication. “MLAs must take responsibility,” he stressed, spotlighting pilot constituency vision action plans (CVAPs) in Kuppam, Pithapuram, Mangalagiri, and Uravakonda, with frameworks for all 175 constituencies to follow.
The Chief Minister assured government backing for CVAPs, noting finalized mandal and district plans focusing on primary sector growth and infrastructure. By 2029, the TDP-led government pledges house sites, permanent homes, universal sanitation, tap water, clean fuel, digital connectivity, and reliable power with solar incentives. Community goals include enhanced roads, drainage, waste management, and social infrastructure.
To steer the vision, Naidu announced a leadership council, steering committee, task forces, and a Vision Management Unit (VMU) within the planning department for oversight and evaluation. Quarterly reviews of key performance indicators by the CM will ensure accountability. Supported by global experts and aligned with PM Modi’s Viksit Bharat 2047, Naidu’s plan—rooted in inputs from 1.18 crore households—positions Andhra as a global leader, with MLAs as its grassroots architects.
