The teenage girl from Kerala was found dead in Karnataka under circumstances that have prompted questions from relatives, who claim the body was discovered only about 150 metres from the location where she was last seen, despite an earlier search of the same area by authorities and locals.
The deceased, identified as Kumari Shrinanda a teenager who had travelled from Kerala, went missing before being found later in a nearby area. According to family members, search efforts were conducted soon after she was reported missing, but no trace was found at the initial site, which they now say was revisited before the body was recovered.
Relatives have raised concerns over the timeline of the search operation, stating that the location where the body was eventually found had already been examined. They have questioned how the girl could have remained undetected so close to the original search zone, suggesting possible gaps in the initial search effort.

Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. Officials are expected to verify the sequence of search operations, including when and how the area was scanned, and whether environmental factors or terrain conditions could have contributed to the body being missed earlier.
Police have also begun recording statements from those involved in the search and from individuals who last saw the teenager alive. Post-mortem examination findings are expected to play a key role in determining the cause and time of death, which will help clarify whether foul play or an accident was involved.
As the probe continues, the case has drawn attention in both Karnataka and Kerala, with the family seeking a thorough investigation and clearer answers regarding the search process and the circumstances in which the teenager was eventually discovered.
