Panic gripped the Kalasipalya BMTC bus stand in Bengaluru on Wednesday after six gelatin sticks and multiple detonators were discovered abandoned in a carry bag outside a public toilet.
Police swiftly cordoned off the area, and the bomb disposal squad was rushed to the scene to secure the explosives and prevent any potential threat.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) S Girish, the gelatin sticks and detonators were found separately packed inside the bag. An FIR is yet to be filed as investigations are currently underway to determine the origin and intent behind the placement of the materials.

The discovery has raised serious concerns about public safety and possible foul play, especially given the location—a heavily crowded transit hub in the heart of the city. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning nearby vendors and commuters.
The incident has prompted heightened security across other major public locations in the city as police remain on high alert.
