Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said his government is adopting the best policies and practices from previous administrations to accelerate investment, industrial growth, and infrastructure development in the state. He said the approach was aimed at avoiding policy uncertainty and ensuring continuity in economic progress.
Speaking at the inauguration of the electric vehicle (EV) cell manufacturing facility of Amara Raja at the Amara Raja Giga Corridor in Divitipally, Mahbubnagar district, the Chief Minister said the government was building on initiatives introduced by earlier regimes led by Chandrababu Naidu, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and the previous BRS government.
Revanth Reddy said the state’s “Telangana Rising 2047” vision focuses on promoting industries, tourism, healthcare, and infrastructure development. He stressed that strong infrastructure is essential for attracting investments and said the government was working on transparent policies to create a favourable business environment.

Highlighting Telangana’s economic ambitions, the Chief Minister said the state currently contributes around 5 per cent to India’s GDP, which he described as insufficient. He said the government aims to increase Telangana’s contribution to 10 per cent and transform the state into a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2034 and a three-trillion-dollar economy by 2047.
The Chief Minister also spoke about ongoing discussions with neighbouring states regarding water allocations. He said talks were underway to secure 90 TMC of water for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and 30 TMC for the Dindi project, adding that positive developments would soon be shared with the people of Mahbubnagar district.
Addressing the Amara Raja facility, Revanth Reddy said farmers who provided land for the project should receive employment opportunities at the EV cell manufacturing unit. He praised the company’s efforts to compete globally and said its focus on electric vehicle technology reflected the growing importance of the sector.
The Chief Minister highlighted that around 700 employees are working at the Divitipalli facility, including 400 women, calling it an example of women’s participation in industrial growth. He also linked the expansion of electric vehicle manufacturing with environmental concerns, saying rising pollution and climate change impacts have increased the need for cleaner technologies and sustainable development.
