On Thursday, a tragic accident unfolded near the Bilaspur cut on the Delhi-Dehradun national highway in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. A speeding truck slammed into a tractor-trolley carrying 15 Kanwar pilgrims from Ghaziabad, who were en route to Haridwar to collect sacred Ganga water.
Four pilgrims sustained injuries and were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to Police Circle Officer Rupali Rao, the truck driver has been apprehended. Authorities are investigating the incident to ensure justice is served.
