In a chilling turn of events, the body of Abhishek Varun, a private bank employee, was discovered alongside his scooter in a dry well in Patna’s Beur area on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Varun had been missing since July 13 after attending a family function.

According to Phulwari SDPO Sushil Kumar, Varun stayed back at the event while his family returned home. At around 3 am, he contacted his wife, claiming he had been in an accident, with his scooter falling on him and walls surrounding him. That was the last communication before his phone went silent. His family filed a missing person’s report the next morning.

Police are investigating the cause of death, with the body sent for post-mortem. "It appears to be an accident at first glance," Kumar stated. The mysterious circumstances have left authorities and locals puzzled, awaiting further details.
