Union Communication Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has taken a firm stand to ensure that insurance companies fulfill their obligations to farmers in his Guna Lok Sabha constituency, who have suffered significant crop losses due to recent floods. Emphasizing accountability, Scindia stated that companies collecting premiums must now step up to support farmers whose livelihoods have been devastated by excessive rainfall.
"The insurance companies that have collected premiums from farmers in the district must now come forward to assist them, as their crops have been destroyed due to heavy rains," Scindia declared during a press interaction in Guna. He has directed the district collector to organize a meeting with these companies to expedite relief efforts, ensuring farmers receive their rightful dues without delay.

On Sunday, he toured flood-affected areas in the city, visiting several colonies to evaluate the situation caused by relentless rainfall. "Water inundated villages and cities from both the skies and rivers, creating a dire situation. Thankfully, the situation is now under control," he noted.
