Sachin Tendulkar has announced a partnership with OpenAI, saying he plans to explore more ways of using ChatGPT and share his experiences with others. The former India batter made the announcement on Monday through a post on X, although he did not disclose specific details about the collaboration. Tendulkar said there were “some interesting things” planned and that he was looking forward to sharing them.
Tendulkar also offered a glimpse into how he already uses ChatGPT in his everyday life. He said his natural curiosity often leads him from one question to another, and that ChatGPT has encouraged him to continue exploring different subjects. His use of the chatbot, however, goes beyond simply asking questions or looking for information, with the cricket legend saying he has also used it for practical tasks.
One example he shared was planning his most recent family trip. Tendulkar said ChatGPT had proved useful when he needed to get things done, alongside helping him explore topics driven by curiosity. He said the partnership would give him an opportunity to discover additional uses for the chatbot and share what he finds useful with others, including people who may be interested in trying AI for their own everyday needs.

A video released alongside the announcement showed Tendulkar interacting with ChatGPT in a guessing game. He asked the chatbot to identify him by asking 10 questions, eventually leading it to the correct answer. Tendulkar said people can begin using ChatGPT with something as simple as a question, an idea or a subject they have always wanted to explore, suggesting that the technology can be used for a wide range of personal interests and tasks.
The partnership comes as OpenAI continues to expand its presence in India. The company said in February that India had crossed 100 million weekly ChatGPT users, with students, teachers, developers and entrepreneurs among those using the service. OpenAI also launched its “OpenAI for India” initiative, which includes areas such as AI access, education, workforce skills and local infrastructure, while announcing a partnership with the Tata Group related to AI-ready data centre capacity.
Tendulkar’s collaboration with OpenAI comes alongside the company’s other efforts to build connections with Indian cricket. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has also partnered with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT into India’s home matches, with the association running until March 2028. The Tendulkar partnership, meanwhile, is centred on his personal exploration of ChatGPT and how AI can be incorporated into everyday activities, with the cricket legend saying he plans to share more of what he discovers.
