Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune, hosted the transformative Roots-VIII Conference, a three-day global summit focused on Aesthetic and Procedural Dermatology, LASERS, and Trichology. The event brought together over 1,200 delegates, including leading dermatologists, researchers, and clinicians from India and beyond, to explore cutting-edge innovations and elevate clinical practice.

Roots-VIII offered a dynamic blend of scientific lectures, hands-on workshops, and live demonstrations, creating an immersive platform for mastering modern dermatological techniques. Topics ranged from advanced laser therapies and regenerative treatments for alopecia to injectables, vitiligo surgery, hair transplantation, thread lifts, and microblading. Live patient procedures in dedicated operation theatres provided practical insights into technique, safety, and complication management, bridging theory with real-world application.

Dr. Bhagyashree P. Patil, Pro-Chancellor of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, emphasized, “Roots-VIII embodies our commitment to fostering academic excellence and innovation in patient care. Under the leadership of Dr. Aayush Gupta, Professor and Head of Dermatology and Organising Chairperson, the event featured over 50 renowned faculty members. Dr. Gupta noted, “We designed Roots-VIII to address the evolving landscape of procedural dermatology, with practical algorithms for laser treatments, regenerative therapies, and advanced injectables.” The organizing team, including Dr. Lakshman Salve, Dr. Nachiket Palaskar, Dr. Shashi Kumar B.M., Dr. Nitin Jain, Dr. Asharb Raman, Dr. Divya Asnani, and Dr. Aneesh S., ensured a seamless and impactful experience.
