The Jaipur Meteorological Centre announced that rainfall across Rajasthan is expected to significantly decrease following days of heavy showers. Eastern Rajasthan, encompassing Kota, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Udaipur divisions, will see a gradual reduction in rainfall over the next week, with only light showers anticipated at isolated locations. Western Rajasthan is projected to experience a sharper decline, with mainly dry conditions prevailing across most districts from September 11 onward for at least a week.
In the past 24 hours, Sirohi district recorded the highest rainfall at 65 mm in Mount Abu, while other parts of western Rajasthan saw light to moderate showers. The forecast of reduced rainfall signals a shift to drier weather, offering relief to regions impacted by recent heavy downpours and potential flooding.
This transition to dry conditions is expected to stabilize the region, allowing for recovery efforts in affected areas. The Met Centre’s update provides critical guidance for residents, farmers, and authorities to prepare for the changing weather patterns, with no significant rainfall expected in the immediate future.
