Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot led the Congress party’s charge against alleged "vote chori" by the BJP and Election Commission, declaring that "every stolen vote is a theft of our voice and identity." The Rajasthan Congress escalated its campaign on Sunday, with senior leaders, including Gehlot, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully, former minister Harish Chaudhary, and ex-MLA Sanyam Lodha, updating their WhatsApp and X profile pictures to posters bearing slogans like "Stop Vote Chori" and "Freedom from Vote Theft."
Gehlot urged party workers and leaders to join the social media campaign, amplifying the Congress’ nationwide protests against electoral irregularities. "Rahul Gandhi’s fight is to expose the Election Commission and BJP’s conspiracy to undermine democracy," he said, rallying support for the 1,300 km 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' launched by Gandhi in Sasaram, Bihar, on the same day. The yatra, backed by the INDIA bloc, aims to safeguard democratic rights ahead of Bihar’s assembly polls.
The Congress alleges that the Election Commission, in collusion with the BJP, manipulates voter lists through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, citing examples from states like Maharashtra and Karnataka. In Rajasthan, the party plans to extend its campaign to district, block, and ward levels, mobilizing grassroots support to protect voters’ rights. Jully emphasized that the BJP’s tactics threaten the Constitution, while Chaudhary called for public awareness to counter electoral fraud.

The campaign’s momentum reflects the opposition’s broader strategy to challenge the BJP’s electoral dominance, with Gehlot framing it as a battle to preserve India’s democratic fabric. As protests spread across states, the Congress is leveraging social media and public rallies to pressure the Election Commission for transparency and accountability.
