President Droupadi Murmu extended heartfelt greetings to Indian citizens on the eve of Onam and Milad-un-Nabi, emphasizing the cultural and spiritual significance of these festivals in fostering unity and harmony.  In her message for Onam, celebrated with joy for the new harvest, Murmu highlighted the festival as a vibrant reflection of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage.

Murmu noted that Onam underscores the values of unity, cooperation, and harmony across cultural and religious boundaries, while also serving as an occasion to honor farmers’ contributions. “On this occasion, let us pledge to respect our cultural diversity and strengthen national unity,” Murmu urged, extending special greetings to Keralites in India and abroad.

In a separate message for Milad-un-Nabi, marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, the President emphasized the prophet’s teachings of unity and service to humanity. She called on citizens to draw inspiration from these teachings to promote peace and brotherhood in society.
