On September 2, President Murmu will travel to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to grace the 120th foundation day celebrations of City Union Bank, one of India’s oldest private-sector banks. The milestone highlights the bank’s enduring legacy in financial services and its role in economic growth. The visit reflects the President’s engagement with institutions driving India’s progress across diverse sectors.
Concluding her tour on September 3, President Murmu will attend the 10th convocation ceremony of the Central University of Tamil Nadu in Thiruvarur. Addressing the graduating class, she will celebrate a decade of academic excellence at the university, reinforcing the importance of higher education in shaping India’s future.
