Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan on Saturday to inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone for a series of major development projects worth approximately Rs 1.06 lakh crore, spanning key sectors such as petrochemicals, renewable energy, urban transport, railways, aviation and infrastructure. The visit is expected to mark one of the largest infrastructure announcements in the state in recent years, with projects aimed at boosting connectivity, industrial growth and employment generation.
The Prime Minister’s programme will begin in Jodhpur, where he will inaugurate the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport, developed at a cost of around Rs 480 crore. He will also launch the Modified UDAN Scheme, which has an allocation of Rs 28,840 crore over the next decade and aims to expand regional air connectivity by developing 100 aerodromes, constructing 200 helipads and supporting airline operations through viability gap funding. The initiative also promotes the use of indigenous aircraft under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.
Later, PM Modi will travel to Balotra to dedicate the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) at Pachpadra, India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex. Developed as a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Government of Rajasthan, the project has been built with an investment exceeding Rs 79,450 crore. With a refining capacity of 9 million metric tonnes per annum and a high petrochemical yield, the facility is expected to reduce import dependence and strengthen India’s energy security.

In addition to the refinery, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Phase II of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project, a 41-km corridor estimated at over Rs 13,000 crore. The expansion will improve urban mobility by connecting major residential, industrial and institutional hubs across Jaipur, including the airport, industrial areas and key healthcare and commercial zones. He will also dedicate railway line doubling projects in Churu district and inaugurate the four-laning of a key section of the Jodhpur Ring Road to enhance regional transport infrastructure.
The visit will also include major energy and employment-focused initiatives. PM Modi will dedicate large-scale solar projects in Bikaner and inaugurate transmission infrastructure aimed at strengthening renewable energy evacuation from Rajasthan’s solar zones. Additionally, he will distribute appointment letters to around 54,000 newly recruited government employees in Rajasthan. Later in the day, he is scheduled to visit Sanand in Gujarat to inaugurate a semiconductor assembly and testing facility, further advancing India’s push toward self-reliance in high-tech manufacturing.
