A multi-storey building housing a textile factory in the Focal Point Phase-8 area of Ludhiana collapsed late Saturday evening, March 8, 2025, trapping six workers under the debris. The incident, which occurred today, has prompted a large-scale rescue operation involving multiple agencies, with officials racing against time to save those still buried beneath the rubble.
According to officials, the collapse initially trapped seven workers. One has been successfully rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, though the condition remains unclear. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud sound just before the structure gave way, raising questions about the building’s stability and safety standards.
