Ukrainian drone attacks overnight injured 26 people in Russia’s Moscow Oblast, according to regional governor Andrei Vorobyov on Saturday. The strikes caused damage in areas east of Moscow, with emergency teams responding to fires and debris from intercepted drones. Russian authorities said air defence systems brought down dozens of drones during the attack.
In the city of Noginsk, located around 55 kilometres east of Moscow, two people were injured after debris from a destroyed drone fell on an oil depot and triggered a fire. Authorities evacuated a nearby maternity hospital and an apartment building as a precautionary measure. Patients, medical staff and women requiring specialised care were moved to other medical facilities in the region.
Another 24 people were injured when a drone crashed onto the premises of a warehouse in the city of Elektrostal, around 60 kilometres from Moscow. Governor Vorobyov said some of those injured were in serious condition. The Bogorodsky urban district was reported to have suffered the most significant damage from the overnight attacks.

Meanwhile, another Ukrainian drone strike in Russia’s Tambov region killed seven people and injured 24 others, according to regional governor Evgeny Pervyshov. The attack targeted a logistics centre in Kotovsk, where the victims were reportedly working a night shift. Emergency services later brought the warehouse fire under control and continued response operations.
The latest drone attacks came as fighting between Russia and Ukraine continued to intensify. The Russian Defence Ministry said its forces carried out 19 strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure over the past week, targeting facilities used for military supplies, fuel storage and logistics operations. The ministry claimed the strikes affected locations in Odesa, Chornomorsk, Yuzhne and the Dnieper-Bug area.
Russia also said it targeted Ukrainian defence industry facilities, ammunition storage sites, transport infrastructure, energy facilities and locations linked to the production and storage of long-range drones. The claims from both sides come amid ongoing military operations, with independent verification of battlefield damage and casualty figures remaining difficult.
