In a tragic incident in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, a third-year MBBS student allegedly died by suicide in his hostel room on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Gurjar (22), a resident of Kotputli. No suicide note was recovered from the scene, police said.
According to authorities, Sandeep had returned to his hostel room after dinner on Tuesday night. When he did not emerge the following day, classmates alerted the warden, who peeped through the ventilator and immediately informed the police.
A team from Hanumangarh Junction Police Station, including Circle Officer Meenakshi and SHO Ramchandra Kaswan, reached the hostel and entered the room after breaking the door. The forensic team collected evidence at the scene while students and staff were questioned about the incident.

Police are examining Sandeep’s phone call logs and social media activity to determine the reasons behind the incident. Friends, roommates, and classmates are being interviewed as part of a detailed investigation from all angles.
Sandeep’s family traveled from Kotputli to Hanumangarh and received his body after post-mortem procedures. His relatives expressed shock, stating that he had never shared any personal or academic problems with them.
The police have not yet established the motive and are continuing a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the death. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
