Former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) remains in stable condition following his admission to Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, on July 3, due to fever and high blood sugar levels.
The 71-year-old leader was visited by his daughter, BRS MLC K. Kavitha, on Friday. Doctors admitted KCR after he reported general weakness. Initial tests revealed elevated blood sugar and low sodium levels, though all other vital parameters were normal, according to a hospital statement issued Thursday night. He is under close observation, with medications initiated to manage his diabetes and correct sodium imbalances.
KCR, who previously underwent hip replacement surgery at the same hospital in December 2023 after a fall at his Erravalli farmhouse, is receiving top medical care. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy contacted hospital officials to ensure KCR receives the best treatment, wishing him a swift recovery to resume public service duties.

Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy and Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar also expressed their support, with both BJP leaders posting on X to wish KCR a speedy recovery. Kumar urged the state government to provide optimal care, hoping to see KCR return to public life soon.
The outpouring of support underscores KCR’s continued prominence, even as speculation swirls about his political future following limited public appearances since the BRS’s loss in the 2023 assembly elections.
