Panic gripped Kerala's capital on Saturday as multiple hotels received bomb threat emails, triggering swift action from police, who deployed bomb disposal units and dog squads to inspect the targeted sites.
The threats, claiming imminent IED explosions at prominent hotels, including the Hilton in central Thiruvananthapuram, prompted rigorous searches across the city.
A Cantonment police station officer confirmed ongoing inspections, stating, “Nothing has been found so far. The inspections are going on.” Authorities are also probing the origin of the threatening emails, which mirror a recent spate of similar hoaxes.
