Indore has clinched the title of India’s cleanest city for the eighth consecutive year in the 2025 Swachh Survekshan, the government’s annual cleanliness survey, announced on Thursday. Surat and Navi Mumbai secured second and third places, respectively, in the rankings for cities with over 10 lakh population.
In the 3-10 lakh population category, Noida topped the list, followed by Chandigarh and Mysore. President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards at a ceremony attended by Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal and other dignitaries, celebrating the cities’ commitment to cleanliness and sustainability.
