The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the CA Foundation May 2026 examination results on July 3. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check and download their marks online through the official ICAI websites. Students are advised to keep their admit cards ready before checking the results, as they will need details including their roll number and registration number to access their scorecards.
Candidates can check their CA Foundation results by visiting the official ICAI website at icai.org or the examination portal at icaiexam.icai.org. On the homepage, students need to select the CA Foundation May 2026 result link and enter the required login details. After submitting their roll number and registration number, the result will appear on the screen. Candidates should carefully check their marks and download a copy of the scorecard for future reference.
According to the results released by ICAI, the pass percentage among male candidates stood at 20.88 per cent. A total of 46,798 male candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 9,769 successfully cleared it. Among female candidates, the pass percentage was recorded at 19.24 per cent, with 8,355 candidates passing out of the 43,419 who appeared for the examination.

To successfully clear the CA Foundation examination, candidates are required to score at least 40 per cent marks in each individual subject. In addition, they must secure a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate across all subjects. Candidates who fail to meet either of these requirements will not be considered to have passed the examination, even if their overall performance is strong in some subjects.
Students who secure 70 per cent marks or more in the examination will be considered to have passed with distinction. This achievement will also be mentioned in their official result. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all the details printed on the scorecard, including their name, roll number, registration number, subject-wise marks, total score and qualifying status.
The CA Foundation examination is the entry-level stage of the Chartered Accountancy course and is conducted by ICAI for students seeking to pursue a career as chartered accountants. Candidates who have successfully cleared the May 2026 examination can now move forward to the next stage of the CA course, while those who could not qualify will have another opportunity to appear in a future examination session.
