Moderate to heavy rainfall continued across Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, leading to the closure of 307 roads, including two national highways, officials confirmed. The State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) reported major disruptions in Mandi and Kullu districts, with 156 and 68 roads closed respectively.
The local Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Monday and Tuesday, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated parts of the state.
Since Saturday evening, rainfall figures have been significant in several areas: Bharari (108.2 mm), Murari Devi (82 mm), Naina Devi (74.4 mm), Malraon (56.2 mm), Brahmani (45.4 mm), Una (38 mm), and Jot (36.2 mm).

Infrastructure damage has been widespread. A total of 284 power distribution transformers and 210 water supply schemes have been affected.
Since the start of the monsoon on June 20, Himachal Pradesh has suffered losses estimated at ₹1,692 crore. The state has recorded 101 rain-related deaths and 36 missing persons. Fatalities include 20 from drowning, 19 from accidental falls, 17 from cloudbursts, eight from flash floods, and five from landslides.
Additionally, 1,600 houses have been fully or partially damaged. The monsoon season has so far seen 51 flash floods, 28 cloudbursts, and 45 major landslides, officials added.
