The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has raised concerns over disruptions in mustard procurement across Haryana, citing delays and logistical issues that are affecting farmers during the current rabi marketing season. Party leaders alleged that inconsistencies in collection points and administrative hurdles were creating unnecessary stress for cultivators.
In response, the Haryana government clarified that arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth procurement operations. Officials emphasized that adequate infrastructure, including storage facilities and transportation mechanisms, has been mobilized to handle the mustard crop efficiently. They assured farmers that payments would be processed promptly to avoid financial inconvenience.
According to AAP representatives, some districts reported delays in the arrival of procurement teams and insufficient communication about operational schedules. Farmers expressed frustration over long queues at mandis and uncertainty regarding when their produce would be purchased. The party demanded stricter monitoring and better coordination to prevent such disruptions in future seasons.

Government officials, however, stated that most procurement centers are functioning normally and that temporary bottlenecks were being addressed swiftly. Authorities highlighted that the procurement system has been designed to accommodate peak harvest periods and that contingency measures are in place to ensure no farmer is left waiting.
Agricultural experts note that mustard is a major rabi crop in Haryana, and timely procurement is crucial for maintaining farmer income and market stability. Delays can impact both local economies and overall supply chains, making coordination between state agencies and farming communities essential.
The AAP has urged continued vigilance over procurement operations, while the Haryana administration reiterated its commitment to smooth and transparent processes. Both sides emphasized the importance of ensuring that farmers receive fair and timely support during the harvesting and marketing season.
