Panic gripped the national capital Wednesday morning as two schools, SKV School in Malviya Nagar and Andhra School in Prasad Nagar, received bomb threats via email, marking the second such incident this week. The threats, claiming explosives were planted on the premises, prompted immediate action from Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, and sniffer dog units, who rushed to secure and search both schools.
“So far, nothing suspicious has been found,” police officials stated, though heightened security measures remain in place as a precaution. The incident follows a similar scare on Monday, when three Delhi schools received bomb threats, leading to frantic evacuations and parents rushing to retrieve their children. Earlier this week, nearly 34 schools and colleges across the city were targeted with similar hoax threats, intensifying concerns among authorities and residents.
Parents expressed growing unease, with many hesitant to send their children to school until the perpetrators are apprehended. “It’s terrifying to think this keeps happening,” said one parent outside SKV School. Delhi Police are treating the threats with utmost seriousness, deploying cyber experts to trace the origin of the emails and calls. While preliminary investigations suggest these may be hoaxes, authorities are exploring all possibilities.
