Thousands of supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) gathered in New Delhi on Monday for the organisation's "Chalo Sansad" march, leading to major traffic restrictions, heightened security arrangements and disruptions in parts of the national capital. The protest march resulted in road diversions, congestion and clashes between police personnel and demonstrators as authorities attempted to manage the situation. The march was organised as CJP supporters moved towards the Parliament area, prompting security agencies to deploy personnel across key locations in central Delhi.

Barricades were placed at several points, while restrictions were imposed on movement around areas near Jantar Mantar and other important routes. Around midday, parts of central Delhi witnessed heavy congestion as several roads were closed or diverted due to the protest. Routes including Sansad Marg, Janpath, Tolstoy Road, Jantar Mantar Road and Jai Singh Marg were affected, with commuters reporting delays in reaching their destinations.

Security arrangements were intensified around Parliament and nearby areas as authorities attempted to prevent protesters from entering restricted zones. Police personnel were deployed in large numbers, and officials monitored the movement of demonstrators throughout the day. The protest also saw police action against some participants, with reports of clashes and the use of force to control crowds. Protesters alleged that authorities used excessive measures, while officials maintained that steps were taken to maintain public order and prevent violations of security restrictions.

Internet services were also reportedly affected in some areas during the protest. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who had been on a hunger strike, later ended his fast after being persuaded by the father of a NEET student who died by suicide, according to reports.

The development came amid indications that discussions between the organisation and government representatives could take place. The march comes against the backdrop of the CJP's demands and its campaign on issues raised by the organisation. Supporters said they wanted their concerns brought to the attention of lawmakers, while authorities focused on ensuring security around key government institutions. The Delhi Police and civic agencies continued to manage traffic movement and security arrangements as the protest progressed.

Commuters in central Delhi were advised to use alternative routes due to diversions and restrictions around affected areas. The "Chalo Sansad" march highlighted the challenges authorities face in balancing the right to peaceful protest with maintaining public order in high-security zones.
