The Ministry of Ayush has partnered with the Central Industrial Security Force to roll out yoga and wellness modules aimed at helping security personnel and their families manage stress and improve overall well-being. The collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which focuses on promoting Ayush-based preventive healthcare, yoga practices, and holistic lifestyle management. The initiative is designed to support both CISF personnel and their families, recognising the high-stress nature of security duties.
The agreement was signed by Dr. A. Raghu, Adviser at the Ministry of Ayush, and Pratibha Agarwal, Inspector General (Administration) at CISF Headquarters. The event was attended by senior officials, including Rajesh Kotecha and Praveer Ranjan.
Under the MoU, which will remain in force for five years, the Ministry of Ayush will provide technical expertise, develop structured wellness modules, and offer guidance through its institutions. CISF will facilitate the implementation of these programmes across its units nationwide.

Key focus areas include awareness campaigns, stress management programmes, yoga sessions, lifestyle interventions, and the possible introduction of Ayush outpatient (OPD) services at CISF establishments wherever feasible.
The initiative reflects a broader push to integrate traditional systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy into mainstream healthcare. Officials said the partnership aims to enhance resilience, mental health, and quality of life among security forces through preventive and holistic approaches.
