Delhi Police revealed on Sunday that three 9mm cartridges—two live and one spent—were recovered from the November 10 car blast site near Red Fort, ammunition strictly prohibited for civilian use. Sources confirmed to ANI that such rounds are typically issued only to armed forces or authorized personnel, raising critical questions about how they reached the location. No firearm or parts were found, intensifying scrutiny on the suspect’s access to restricted military-grade material.
Investigators are now tracing the origin and custody of the cartridges as the probe deepens into possible high-level involvement. The blast, which claimed 12 lives and left several injured, has already led to a fresh FIR under criminal conspiracy charges. Security around the historic monument remains on high alert, with the case transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for advanced forensic and intelligence analysis.
In a connected development, the National Medical Commission (NMC) cancelled the registrations of four Jammu and Kashmir doctors—Dr Muzaffar Ahmad, Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, Dr Muzamil Shakeel, and Dr Shaheen Saeed—effective immediately. Three of them, including Dr Rather, Dr Shakeel, and Dr Saeed, are already in Delhi Police custody over alleged terror links. DNA evidence has confirmed that Dr Umar Un Nabi executed the Red Fort attack, matching samples with his mother.

Reports indicate eight suspects were planning synchronized blasts at four Delhi locations, each team equipped with multiple IEDs. Al-Falah University distanced itself from the accused, stating their association was limited to official roles. Essential forensic evidence, including explosives residue and DNA, has been secured from the blast site to reconstruct the sequence of events.
Meanwhile, a separate accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station in Jammu and Kashmir late Friday night killed nine personnel, injured 32, and severely damaged the facility. Authorities are treating it as an unrelated mishandling incident, but the timing has heightened security concerns across the region.
