The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a nationwide Digital Learning Programme (DLP) under its Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Maha Abhiyan, aiming to equip one crore party workers with digital skills. The initiative is designed to help BJP workers effectively use digital communication tools for public outreach while strengthening their understanding of the party's ideology, history and organisational structure. The programme aligns with the party's efforts to expand its digital presence as communication increasingly shifts to online platforms.
According to the BJP, more than 11 lakh workers have already completed digital training through the party's app-based learning platform. Building on this progress, the party has set a target of training at least 10 karyakartas at every booth across the country, with the broader objective of creating a digitally skilled workforce of one crore party workers capable of engaging with the public through modern digital platforms.
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said the initiative has gained momentum in several states, including Madhya Pradesh, where significant progress has been reported. He said the Digital Learning Programme is intended to enable party workers to communicate the achievements of the Union government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi more effectively while enhancing their knowledge of the BJP's ideology and organisational principles.

Chugh said the programme draws inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India vision and seeks to combine digital literacy with organisational training. He described the initiative as a step towards equipping karyakartas with the skills required for effective communication, public engagement and organisational development. He also credited the progress made so far to the efforts of party workers and organisational teams across different levels of the BJP.
To make the programme widely accessible, the BJP has made study materials and learning resources available through its Saral mobile application in 12 Indian languages. Party leaders said the multilingual approach is intended to ensure workers across different regions can participate in the training. The BJP believes that expanding digital capabilities at the grassroots level will strengthen public outreach, improve organisational efficiency and help prepare every party booth for an increasingly digital future.
