Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru has clinched the ‘Best Airport for Arrivals Globally’ award for the third straight year, as announced by the Airports Council International (ACI) World in its 2024 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) rankings.
The accolade, revealed a short while ago via a Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) press release, reflects passenger feedback lauding KIA’s stellar arrival experience.
The ASQ program, a global benchmark, assesses airports on comfort, cleanliness, service, and convenience.
BIAL highlighted KIA’s streamlined immigration and customs, swift baggage delivery, high-speed WiFi, and seamless processes as key to its hat-trick win. Handling over 37 million passengers annually, KIA—India’s third-busiest airport—continues to set the gold standard, reinforcing Bengaluru’s status as a top aviation hub amidst its 2024 infrastructure upgrades.
What happens once you exit the airport and hit the city traffic, is a whole different ballgame!
