Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Andhra Pradesh, commencing his official schedule with a ceremonial visit to the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Srisailam. Notable projects include the Transmission System Strengthening at Kurnool-III Pooling Station, a ₹2,880 crore initiative featuring a 765 kV double-circuit line to Chilakaluripeta, increasing capacity by 6,000 MVA to support large-scale renewable energy transmission.
Additionally, the Orvakal and Kopparthy Industrial Hubs represent a ₹4,920 crore investment, projected to attract ₹21,000 crore in private funds and generate up to 1 lakh jobs, developed in collaboration with the National Industrial Corridor Development Trust. Further developments include electro-optical systems manufacturing for defense self-reliance and expansions in petroleum and natural gas sectors.
Chief Minister Naidu and Minister Lokesh have expressed optimism regarding the visit’s impact. Naidu stated on X, "On behalf of my people of Andhra Pradesh, I warmly welcome our Hon'ble Prime Minister," while Lokesh highlighted the industrial progress anticipated from the initiatives.
The "Super GST – Super Savings" campaign is set to complement the afternoon address, adding a taxpayer-focused element to the proceedings.
