The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) on Thursday approved industrial proposals worth ₹30,515 crore across 50 companies, marking a significant push toward accelerating investment and job creation in the state. The decisions were taken during the 18th SIPB meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
According to official estimates, the approved projects are expected to generate 29,677 employment opportunities across Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Naidu directed officials to ensure that the benefits of industrial growth reach not only large investors but also middle-class and economically weaker sections of society, emphasising inclusive development as a core governance priority.
During the meeting, Naidu stressed the need to build a strong industrial ecosystem that encourages participation from entrepreneurs of all backgrounds. He called for enhanced support for startups and urged departments to leverage innovation-driven policies to attract venture capital for emerging industries across the state.

The Chief Minister also instructed the Education Department to align academic curricula with future industrial requirements. He emphasised the introduction of advanced technology courses such as robotics and other emerging fields to ensure that students are prepared for evolving job markets and industrial demands.
Naidu highlighted key sectors for future investment, including ethanol production, biofuels, semiconductor manufacturing, lithium-ion battery production, EV technologies, renewable energy, and large-scale data centres. He also set a long-term vision for developing Andhra Pradesh into a major green energy hub, targeting 160 GW of renewable energy capacity.
The meeting further discussed plans to strengthen industrial automation and streamline approvals through a transparent, technology-driven system aimed at reducing bureaucratic delays. The Chief Minister also emphasised developing a “Quantum Valley” ecosystem in Amaravati, focusing on quantum computing research and technology manufacturing.
State IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh said incentives for industries should be released only after projects become operational, ensuring accountability and revenue generation for the state. He also announced plans to map ITIs and polytechnic institutions with local industries to improve skill development and employment readiness.
The SIPB meeting was attended by senior ministers, officials, and Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, with the government reiterating its focus on transforming Andhra Pradesh into a major industrial, technological, and clean energy investment destination.
